We’re still mourning the loss of the legend, Earl Simmons, aka, DMX.
As reported on The Jasmine Brand, some of his children are trying to figure out how much their dad’s estate is worth. His daughters Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden filed documents on May 10. According to their findings, they say DMX’s estate is worth less than $50,000. His sons Xavier, Tacoma, and Sean Simmons filed documents on May 21 and said it was worth less than $1 million.
The five children are reportedly hoping to be named administrators for their father’s estate. With DMX’s posthumous album, Exodus, dropping on May 28, hopefully, it brings in more revenue.
DMX’s career started in 1998, and throughout it, he sold over 74 million albums. He made groundbreaking history dropping five No. 1 albums from ‘98-‘03. He’s the first and only rapper to attain this achievement. He also had a successful movie career, landing roles in classics like Belly, Cradle 2 The Grave, Romeo Must Die, and more.
He passed away at White Plans hospital on April 9 after suffering from a heart attack.
