A new Space Jam is underway!
Entertainment Weekly released images from Space Jam: A New Legacy. It has online users in a frenzy! People noticed Lola Bunny is less sexualized, and online critics have different opinions about it.
Reported on Uproxx, Lola Bunny will have a different uniform style than in the original Space Jam that starred Michael Jordan. Director Malcolm D. Lee told the publication that he felt the 1996 version of the movie sexualized Lola Bunny. Lee said,
“This is 2021. It’s important to reflect the authenticity of strong, capable female characters. Lola was “reworked” for A New Legacy to make her less the object of Bugs’ “Doll” affection and more “the team’s best non-LeBron player.”
