Nick Cannon wants to make things right with the Jewish community.
In a series of Tweets and via his Instagram story, Nick wrote a message apologizing to his Jewish brothers and sisters for his “hurtful and divisive words.” Nick said,
“They reinforced the worse stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uniformed and naive place that these words (came) from.”
He went on to say that the interview with him and Richard Griffin has been removed. Nick is said that he has more to learn and is willing to do so. He went on to give his gratitude toward the Rabbis and community leaders who reached out to enlighten him instead of scolding him. Nick also said he’s “committed to deeper connections, more profound learning & strengthening the bond between our two cultures today and every day going forward.”

Nick is still fighting to get rights to Wild N’ Out. He also pushed back on Viacom’s claim that he didn’t attempt to make amends after his comments went viral, Nick claims he reached out to ViacomCB chair, Shari Redstone, but didn’t hear back, Vanity Fair reports. Nick said,
“That’s when I realized they don’t want a conversation or growth, they wanted to put the young negro in his place,” Cannon wrote. “They wanted to show me who is boss, hang me out to dry and make an example of anyone who says something they don’t agree with.”
However, a ViacomCBS spokesperson said that is “absolutely untrue.”
