Tory Lanez has been laying low ever since reports broke out that he allegedly shot Megan The Stallion in the foot last month.
Reported on TMZ, the District Attorney is considering charging the Canadian rapper with felony assault with a firearm for his alleged involvement. Initially, Tory was arrested and charged for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. He posted bond and was released after the incident. Now, according to the publication, Tory can potentially face charges after prosecutors requested the LAPD to investigate further on the shooting.
It’s quite odd that Tory hasn’t spoken out on the situation, but he denies all allegations. Earlier this month he was spotted at a Florida McDonald’s for the first time since the incident that happened earlier in July. There was chatter that Tory was getting deported but his team shut those rumors down.
“Obviously Tory has not been deported and is self-quarantining with his family. This is a perfect example of false information being spread regarding this case, his whereabouts, and his character. He’s in good spirits and looks forward to having the truth come to light about that night and wishes nothing but the best for Meg.”
Megan on the other hand, although she hasn’t gone into detail about the shooting, she’s been updating her fans along the way. Yesterday (August 19), she showed a graphic picture of the condition of her foot. A few weeks ago she revealed she was shot in both of her feet and felt “betrayed” by some of her “friends.”
TMZ reports IF Tory is charged, his defense will be it was an accidental shooting. They also report that it may be challenging for the DA to charge Tory because when Megan showed her foot injury, in the caption she wrote that she had her back to the SUV when she was shot in the foot, which could mean she didn’t see who fired shots at her. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
