Cam’ron Returns to Freestyle with Funk Flex!

It’s been nearly seven years since Cam’ron came to Hot 97 for a Funk Flex freestyle, but Killa Cam is back! Last time Cam’ron dropped by Hot 97 to rhyme – he was alongside Juelz Santana, Freekey Zekey and Jim Jones for a Dipset reunion. Now Cam has dropped by to spit by himself over a couple of trap beats for what could be the freestyle of the year!

Cam’ron has been one of the best freestylers in the game for more than 20 years. XXL ranked Cam’s 1996 freestyle on Stretch and Bob as one of the greatest radio freestyles of all time. Since then he’s gone on to make magic happen time and time again in the booth. Who could forget seeing Killa Cam counting cash while freestyling over On My Block with Dipset on BET.

Cam hasn’t released an album since his 2019 project Purple Haze 2, but has stayed hard at work as an actor on ABC’s Queens. In 2020 Cam hopped on a remix of British R&B stars Mahalia and Ella Mai’s hit What You Did which heavily samples Oh Boy by Cam’Ron.
