21 Savage’s ‘American Dream’ Album Tops Billboard 200

21 Savage’s latest album, American Dream, has made a remarkable debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

This has become his fourth overall chart-topping achievement. His previous No. 1 albums include I Am > I Was (2018), Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin (2020), and Her Loss with Drake (2022).

In a competitive week on the Billboard 200, 21 Savage’s American Dream outperformed Kid Cudi’s INSANO, which slightly missed a spot in the top 10, debuting at No. 13.

The album sold an impressive 133,000 album-equivalent units during its first week of release, which included 169.53 million on-demand official streams. This figure represents 21 Savage’s largest solo artist debut to date. The surprise drop features 15 songs with collaborations from artists such as Doja Cat, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, Burna Boy, and more.

American Dream’s first single, “redrum,” was produced by London on da Track, and has a corresponding video that showcases 21 Savage in the United Kingdom. Additionally, fans had the opportunity to preview a trailer for a biopic, also titled “American Dream,” featuring Donald Glover, Caleb McLaughlin, Jabari Banks, Natasha Lyonne, and Drew “Druski” Desbordes.
