The Harlem rapper appeared in court today (August 17) at a Downtown LA criminal courthouse for his arraignment.

TMZ reports, he walked into court with his lawyer, Sara Caplan, who also represented OJ Simpson. He pleaded not guilty. His preliminary hearing is set for November. Take a look:

The jiggy rapper was officially charged earlier this week for an alleged shooting last year.

Reported on news sources, A$AP Rocky charged with assault with a firearm over allegedly shooting an A$AP Mob member, A$AP Relli. LA County DA George Gascón, announced the charges on August 15, for assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Gascón said,

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood.” He continued,

“My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”

Last week, A$AP Relli revealed Rocky allegedly “lured” him to an obscure location to discuss a dispute. Relli filed a civil suit and is seeking $25,000 in damages. He claims he’s suffered mental and emotional injuries. He also says he’s getting death threats. Rolling Stone reports a statement says,

“Unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron [A$AP Relii], A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun. After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”

The news of the shooting broke in April, but police didn’t reveal the victim’s name. Rocky was arrested and released on a $500,000 bond.
