Ari Lennox is celebrating one full year of sobriety.
In a recent Instagram post, the songstress opens up about her journery to soberness. “I’m one year sober from alcohol today.. I love you all.”
She expresses, “I needed an excuse to drink and not feel the pain of everyday life and trauma,” Lennox said in the post. “My toxic relationship with alcohol left me stagnant with closed eyes, hindering my growth and my healing. Hindering my ability to overcome fear […] I’m letting go and letting God!”
Ari encourages anyone on the journey with her to keep going. “Y’all knew how many times I wanted to give in, but y’all were so sweet and motivating. We powered through!,” Lennox said. “Let’s keep it going. Cheers to another year of being present and growing deeper than ever before. One day at a mfn time, baby.”
