Benzino slams Busta Rhymes for doing a music video with his daughter, Coi Leray, while she was “half naked.”
Bezino says via Instagram live, “the whole Busta Rhymes collaboration — like, he should have reached out to me,” he expressed. “You don’t do no video with my daughter half-naked. You a grown a*s f*cking man.”
He continued, “he should have reached out to me and said something. But it is what is. She’s grown, she can do what she want. But I wasn’t with that. All I can do is have my opinions from afar. Once they reach a certain age, it doesn’t matter what I think. The internet is definitely killing the family communication, the family bond.”
The confrontation started after Coi Leray stated her father is seemingly “envious” at her success. “At first it was rocky, because I felt like he couldn’t handle my success. I felt like it did come from an envious place. Which is okay, because he’s human, and that’s fine” she expressed.
Benzino disagreed with her comments, and says he was hurt by them. “This has to be the most ridiculous [poop emoji] I’ve heard in my entire life on this earth. How tf can be envious towards someone I RAISED, NUTURED, PROVIDED FOR, INFLUENCED AND LOVE VERY DEARLY???,” he said in a lengthy Instagram post. “This industry and the internet have completely messed up the minds of this young generation. I’m tired of her pushing a false narrative about who I am and what I’ve done as a father.”
