Casanova’s case continues.

The Brooklyn-born rapper, born, Caswell Senior, pled guilty Wednesday (May 11) to federal drug and racketeering charges. NBC points out he admitted to committing a series of crimes while leading an interstate gang.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan said Casanova admitted to a July 2020 shooting in Florida, an Aug. 2018 robbery in New York City, and trafficking more than 100 kilograms of marijuana.

In late 2020, he surrendered to the FBI. Prosecutors alleged the “Don’t Run” rapper led the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods gang. While Cas was in this role, they believe he directed a conspiracy that spanned from New York to Florida. Rolling Stone points out, “the conspiracy ran from 2004 to 2020 in New York City and upstate, prosecutors alleged.”

RS also notes that Cas had on navy blue jail scrubs and a pumpkin orange undershirt during court today. He waved to his family and blew them a kiss when he walked into the courtroom at 11:25 a.m.

The outlet also reports Cas was on suicide watch. He said, “They put me on suicide watch a couple of days ago.” He also told the judge that he attempted to take his life in his teenage years. He said, “I attempted to kill myself a couple of times.” In addition, Cas says he voluntarily pleaded guilty, and “nobody was forcing him to cop to these crimes.”

His next court date is slated for December. He’s facing a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of 60 years.

His girlfriend Jazzy has shown him a multitude of love on the gram. She recently said, “You ever crave someone’s presence? Like you would literally be happy sitting next to them in silence?…. Free @bigcasanova_2x I love you and miss you.”

Cas plus 18 alleged gang members are accused of committing murder, robbery, fraud, and the distribution of controlled substances. It’s not clear what the outcome is for the other alleged gang members.
