Carlee Russell’s family is speaking out about her condition, while the Hoover Police Department continues to investigate her reported kidnapping in Alabama.
During an interview with NBC’s “Today” that aired Tuesday (July 18), Carlee’s parents, Talitha Robinson-Russell and Carlos Russell, stated that they could not share details about their daughter’s disappearance and return. But, the couple did open up about Carlee’s current condition. “We tried to hug her as best we could, but I had to stand back because she was not in a good state,” Talitha said. Carlos added that the 25-year-old has been struggling with “bad dreams” and “moments where some things make her cringe, afraid,” like loud noises.
Carlee disappeared Thursday (July 13) night after calling 911 when she saw a toddler walking on I-459 South.Thankfully, she returned home alone on Saturday (July 15) around 10:45 p.m., and was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for evaluation, according to WRBC.
