As promised, Drake hops on the remix for early new artist of the year candidate 4Batz’s single “act iii: date @ 8.” The 6 God teased the remix audio on Instagram Tuesday (March 5), tags 4Batz and himself with three purple demon emojis.
4Batz has become the most talked about new artist of 2024 so far. Kanye West mentioned the Dallas native as his favorite new artist. Timbaland wants to work with him and put Drake onto the R&B artist’s music, which led to the two bonding.
“Think y’all got one with this one. Yo, his tone is crazy,” said Timbaland about 4Batz on Instagram. “I’m telling you now, [when] The Boy get on this, it’s outta here. It’s already outta here. This thing right here. And y’all know who The Boy is.”
4Batz’s three acts have accumulated over 10 million streams on Spotify. The artist’s newfound success based on three songs has been suggested as an “Industry Plant” by social media. The new star burst onto the mainstream landscape after performing on the popular freestyle series From The Block in Decemeber 2023.
The artist is currently in a bidding war with several major labels.
