Eminem shares words of encouragement to the Detroit Lions after their 2023-2024 season came to an end on Sunday (Jan. 28) with the 31-34 loss to the San Fransico 49ers in the NFC Championship.
Congratulating his home team on a great season, the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker wrote on X: “So proud of the @Lions Thanks 4 an amazing season!!!! We’ll b back!!!”
Eminem was very supportive of the Lions’ playoff run. He released a promo video directed toward Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford before the Wildcard game and was on the sidelines celebrating last week as the Lions beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-23 in the Divisional rounds. Eminem went viral during Sunday’s game after giving 49ers fans the middle finger from his arena suite while attending the game in San Fransico.
In other Eminem news, longtime nemesis Benzino previewed a response track to Eminem’s recent diss on the new Lyrical Lemonade album on Sunday called “Godfather 3.” Promising a response in 24 hours, Benzino plans to respond to the lines directed at him on Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2,” where the beef between the two is reignited when Em raps, “Now I got a riddle, one condition, you mustn’t laugh/ What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe/ ‘Go at his neck,’ how the fuck is that?/ How can I go at somethin’ he doesn’t have?”
Eminem also mentioned Benzino’s daughter, Coi Leray, on the track, but she said she is focusing on her new era and will not entertain an argument between two grown men. Leray would also chime in on the Eminem feature line in “Doomsday Pt.2” on X as she promoted her new single “Wanna Come Thru,” with the following tweet:
“Man who the hell said I wanted a Eminem feature ??. Imagine Eminem on Wanna Come thru?”
Last November, Leray shared she would never mention Benzino’s name again.
