According to reports, the “I Get The Bag” rapper is pondering a fresh start with country music.

On August 16, Trap innovator Gucci Mane made an Instagram post asking his fans to help him “sign these guys as my first country artists to 1017!!! I need the info asap.” Country artist Jake Owen joins the discussion, commenting, “Let’s Jam.”

Therefore, an abundance of speculation rose, with one fan asking, “Will he get a million dollars and an iced out 1017 chain as well?”

Gucci’s opportunity to sign Oliver Anthony to 1017 might have passed, considering his popularity in the country scene and his recent single that carries a strong political message. Talk of the Charts took to Twitter to say, “Oliver Anthony Music’s “Rich Men North Of Richmond” is locked for a #1 debut on next week’s Billboard Hot 100, with around a 100 point lead over the #2 song.” According to Apple Music, the track was released on August 11 through 4408066 Records DK.

Although it’s uncertain whether Guwop managed to establish communication with Oliver Anthony, Gucci Mane remains committed to his goal of adding the inaugural country artist to his 1017 Records. Thanks to artists like Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, and Jason Aldean, the country music scene has achieved remarkable success on the charts. Additionally, Gucci Mane is preparing for the release of his Breath of Fresh Air album on October 13. The extensive double album will encompass 24 tracks and will feature artists such as Lil Baby, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, DaBaby, and others.
