Jay-Z Carter scored a win!

Parlux perfume brand took legal action against Hov. The company claims Jay-Z received $2 million in royalties which required six promotional appearances. Hov reportedly failed to appear and then countersued. The rapper allegedly said the company didn’t fulfill certain obligations in the business agreement.

Jay-Z also believes the company is “lazy.” In a court document, the Roc Nation founder said, “I’ve always had problems with the quality of lazy work that was coming from Parlux.” Jay went on to say he wasn’t satisfied with a commercial that had his name on it. He said,“It’s a B-rate commercial, and my name is on it,” referring to the commercial for the Gold scent.

In the latest update, a jury made a ruling on Wednesday, Nov. 10th, reported on The Jasmine Brand. A jury concluded neither party should have to pay the other. The article points out that the judgment saved both parties from paying $68 million and $2.7 million since the case was dismissed.

The presiding judge summed up the matter by saying, “You failed to prove your case, they failed to prove their case. That’s the outcome.” Jay-Z seemed relieved after, take a look:
