As Nipsey Hussle’s family awaits justice for the slain rapper, his loved ones are dealing with another big legal issue.
The “Hussle & Motivate” rapper’s family is fighting for custody of his 14-year-old daughter, Emani. The late rapper’s ex/mother of Emani, Tanisha Foster, feels the family turned on her, while Nipsey’s family thinks she’s an unfit mother with drug and alcohol problems.
When Nipsey was killed in March 2019, his family obtained guardianship of Emani. The family told the judge about an incident where Emani allegedly assaulted another person in front of Emani and other children. Radar Online reports at that time, a court filing said:
“Obviously, the behavior summarized herein endangered Emani’s well-being, but such behavior also makes Ms. Foster wholly unfit to act as guardian of the estate and be able to manage Emani’s inheritance expected to exceed two million dollars ($2,000,000).”
The reports say Tanisha agreed to the guardianship but demanded custody last year. The article reports Tanisha only agreed to the guardianship because of her “financial limitations” at that time.
In court documents, she demanded custody of Emani and said she only agreed to the initial guardianship due to her “financial limitations” at the time. A Los Angeles Court Superior judge has set a trial date for April 27.
Eric Holder killed Nipsey and a grand jury indicted Eric on May 9, 2019. He’s charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He pleaded not guilty and faces life if convicted. The trial is still on going.
NIPSEY HUSSLE FOREVER!
