Rihanna Performs At Couple’s Pre-Wedding Event In India, Her First In Eight Years

Rihanna was recently spotted on stage in India at a pre-wedding event for one of India’s most prominent families – marking her first performance in nearly eight years.

Despite her Super Bowl Halftime performance last year, the singer hasn’t performed a full-length concert since 2016 for her Anti World Tour. During the event, Rihanna performed nearly 19 songs, according to sources. “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Work,” “Umbrella,” were just a few of the songs that the singer performed for the soon-to-be newlyweds.

“The show was the best,” she told a reporter post-concert . “I haven’t done a real show in eight years.”

The lavish party was part of a multi-day celebration for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, who are to be married later this summer. Amabani is the son of multi-billionaire Mukesh Ambani, whereas Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of a pharmaceutical and healthcare company.

In 2018, Mukesh also paid Beyoncé to perform at the wedding of his daughter, Isha Ambani.
