Tory Lanez Announces New Album While Behind Bars

Tory Lanez still has plans to release music while behing bars. In a Tweet, the Canadian artist announced a deluxe version of his 2021 project Alone At Prom will be coming soon.

“THE COLOR VIOLET … ALONE AT PROM DELUXE … NOVEMBER 17” he wrote in the tweet. Lanez’s fans have shown their excitement for the upcoming LP.

“album of the year,” one user tweeted.

“TORY FINALLY DROPPING THE DELUXE!!!!,” another tweeted.

Lanez’s last project, Sorry 4 What released last year ahead of his 10-year sentencing. His latest appeal was rejected by Judge Lee Smalley Edmund last month. The first motion was denied by Judge David Herriford in September.

Back in September, Lanez teased new music on social media with a message to his fans.

“Ayo Umbrellas, what’s good? I’m talking to you from prison,” he said in the clip posted on Instagram. “Man, I’m just happy to get out that bullsh*t county jail. They was hating on a young fly ni**a, you heard? Had me in 24-hour lockdown, half-sized cell by myself, no windows, no mirrors. Ni**a ain’t even seen himself in a whole year yo.” 

Elsewhere in the audio recording, he shared his musical updates.

“The music, the videos, and all the projects you wanted, they all ready to drop. So let’s just start with the one that we wanted the most, the Alone At Prom Deluxe,” he said.
