This morning (Oct. 25), Ashanti dropped in with the crew of Ebro In The Morning to promote her upcoming album and children’s book.
In this interview, the Glen Cove, New York native talks about Irv Gotti’s Drink Champs interview and his comments on Ashanti. documentary, working with Ja Rule, and all the drama surrounding Murder Inc.

Ashanti highlights the importance of understanding children’s names in her new children’s book My Name Is a Story. This book is an empowering story about a girl who learns to love her unique name. As Ashanti explains in the conversation, the concept of the book comes from Ashanti’s first hand experience of having her name mispronounced throughout adolescence as a young student.
She also spoke on her recent experience in the studio with Yung Bleu recording her new single “Falling For You.”
