The R&B soul sisters have reunited.
R&B fans are rejoicing after the announcement Ari Lennox’s sophomore album “age/sex/location”. Set for release on September 9th, the album is a follow up to 2019’s Shea Butter Baby.
‘Queen Space’ is the latest single release following “Hoodie” and “Pressure”, the only two tracks that have been revealed on the album. ‘Queen Space’ follows the same sultry R&B formula as their previous collab ‘Unloyal’ from Summer Walker’s Still Over It.
Her mentor J.Cole shared his excitement when he previewed the single in the studio.
When J.Cole asked Ari about what age/sex/location means to her, the singer noted that it represents a “transitional space. Very vulnerable codependent and validation seeking part of my life”. She added, I remember the countless times I was kicked out of dating apps because they didn’t think I was really myself, it reminded me of those age/sex/location days where I actually wasn’t being myself in those chat rooms.”
The visuals for both “Pressure” and Hoodie” have been dropped. So far, Ari Lennox has only released a lyric video for “Queen Space”
