Over the weekend, Rapsody and Childish Gambino showcased their incomparable superiority and respect in hip-hop with their outstanding new albums. This Friday delivers the surprise return of Vince Staples. Meanwhile, the cream of the crop of new hip-hop provided an alternative to the mainstream superstars.

Mariah Carey Joins Muni Long For “Made For Love” Remix

The new track features Carey’s signature whistle followed by Muni Long’s first verse and chorus. Carey then joins for the second verse, creating a beautiful expression of love.

T-Pain Is To Die “On The Hill”

The song is about mental wellness and standing up for yourself. “This song is really about refusing to be gaslit anymore. It’s about coming to a realization that I have to stand up for myself,” said Pain in a press release. “Over the years, that has just been something I’ve had to open my eyes to and learn how to deal with it. So yeah, I’ll die on this hill, ha!”

The song features Finesse2Tymes complementing Mo3’s cautionary tales about the streets, with each rapper rhyming rapidly about the cycle of violence. The track honors Mo’s memory and features Finesse2Tymes. It depicts the common story of young men resorting to violence to get ahead, without realizing it only leads to more retaliation.
