On 4Batz’s hit song, “act ii: date @ 8,” he sings, “Five hunnid for your fuckin’ hair / Two hunnid for your fuckin’ nails.”
A fan asked the new sensation to put his money where his mouth is during the Dallas stop of his “Thank U, Jada” tour on Wednesday (August 7). “Can I say somethin’?” the New Jersey woman asked the 20-year-old R&B singer who called her to the stage. After 4Batz’s welcomed the inquiry, she said, “Ok, so I was in the back jumping, right. And in the process, I broke my nail. In your song, you said, ‘200 for her f*ckin nails.”
Laughing at the request, 4Batz replied, “Dallas, she tryna make me stand on business tonight. So what you tryna say?”
“200 for my f*ckin’ nails,” the woman repeated.
Then, 4Batz’s DJ instigated the situation by reciting the rest of the verse. “Yo Batz, that’s true sh*t,” said the DJ. “Hold on, if we gonna do it, we gotta do it right, what do you say? 500 for your f*ckin hair, 200 for her f*ckin nails.”
Admiring her confidence, 4Batz honored her request and gave the woman $1200. “Ok, this well over $1200, if that’s cool with you.”
“Thank you,” she replied gleefully.
After giving the fan money, 4Batz takes her on a brief date, which includes previewing a brand-new track. In interviews with Complex and GQ, the self-proclaimed “New King of R&B” revealed that all of his music has been inspired by his breakup from his ex-girlfriend, whom he also named the tour after.
4Batz’s homecoming show featured guest appearances by fellow Dallas superstars Yella Beezy and BigXThaPlug. 4Batz and BigXThaPlug were featured in this year’s XXL annual freshmen class, including Bossman Dlow, Skilla Baby, and Maiya Tha Don.
4Batz released his debut EP, U Made Me A St4r, in May via Gamma. The 11 songs feature Ye and Drake.
