A$AP Rocky and his attorney Joe Tacopina are preparing to face trial on Monday, October 21st, for the rapper’s alleged involvement in a shooting. Meanwhile, the two are also making moves in the soccer world, planning to invest in British soccer club Tranmere Rovers. Rocky is accused of firing a gun at his former friend and collaborator, A$AP Relli, during an altercation outside a Hollywood hotel in November 2021. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm. Footage from the incident shows a scuffle between the two, but the shooting itself wasn’t clearly captured. According to Relli’s testimony, Rocky allegedly said, “I’ll kill you right now,” before firing a shot that grazed Relli’s hand. Relli also claims Rocky fired two or three more shots before fleeing the scene.

Outside of his legal issues, A$AP Rocky is reportedly entering the sports industry. He and Tacopina are set to invest in Tranmere Rovers, a British soccer club in the English Football League Two. According to The Sun, the rapper and his lawyer are part of an investment group looking to purchase 80% of the club for around $20 million. A source close to the deal revealed that Rocky has “committed to the Tranmere bid” and plans to visit the club, possibly bringing Rihanna along to watch a match. “Joe has been to Tranmere matches and Rocky has plans to go over too after the deal is completed,” the insider shared. “We may even see Rihanna watching League Two football.”

As Rocky juggles his upcoming trial and potential sports investments, all eyes are on both his legal battle and his ventures in the world of soccer, adding a new layer of intrigue to the rapper’s multifaceted career.
