After nearly six years, A$AP Rocky is back and better than ever. The Harlem native and father of two recently announced he is releasing a new album. The project, Don’t Be Dumb, is going to be dropping on August 30. The rapper shared the news while ripping the runway at Paris Fashion Week. There, A$AP Rocky previewed several tracks from the album. Features are include heavy hitters like Tyler, the Creator, Pharrell Williams, and Metro Boomin. Madlib, The Alchemist, and Mike Dean will also appear on the project.
The rapper’s last project — an LP titled, Testing — was released back in 2018. He again tapped on industry heavyweights like Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, Skepta, French Montana, and Kodak Black for features. In a 2023 interview with DAZED, A$AP Rocky called his upcoming project, “his best work.” He also talks his recording process: “I’ve been really experimenting as usual, and what I like about this is it feels like my best work yet,” he tells the outlet “I want to leave expectations wide and open. I don’t want to tell you what to expect. I just want people to experience it how they do naturally.”

In other news, A$AP Rocky and his sons, Riot and RZA, were tapped to be a part of Bottega Veneta’s new campaign. Known for his sleek sense of style, it makes sense why the brand would want to work with him. A$AP Rocky took to Instagram to share the announcement. “IT WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK ALONGSIDE MY CHILDREN & FAMILY X MATTHIEU BLAZY X BOTTEGA VENETA X CARRIE MAE WEEMS TO BRING U THIS HEARTFELT FATHERS DAY PIECE,” he began.
A$AP Rocky continued: “THIS SPECIAL MOMENT CAPTURES THE VULNERABILITY, LOVE, AND INTERACTION BETWEEN MY SONS AND I, IM PROUD 2 BE THE MAN THEY CALL DADDA [heart emoji] HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL PROUD DADS OUT THERE A$AP.” Rocky told GQ that being a father has “changed his outlook” on life. “It’s about putting a different lens on my life. It reflects my state of mind, [and] my taste preferences. It feels mature.” The rapper and RiRi welcomed their first child RZA in 2022 and Riot in 2023.
