On Monday (Nov. 20), a Los Angeles judge ruled that A$AP Rocky must stand trial on charges for allegedly shooting his former childhood friend A$AP Relli after a heated argument.
According to reports, back in August of 2022, the Harlem rapper, whose real name Rakim Mayers, pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm for allegations surrounding the Nov. 6, 2021 incident.
After hearing almost two days of testimony in a preliminary hearing, Superior Court Judge M.L. Villar ruled that there was sufficient evidence for A$AP Rocky to stand before a jury in January of 2024. “I am certain Rocky will be vindicated of all of this,” his attorney Joe Tacopina told reporters outside of the courthouse.
