“This was one of the HARDEST things to do but it made me feel a lot better feeling like I’m carrying Cee @djmistercee aka Pop to Peace and to a better place. I just wanted to make you proud all the time, and now I needed to make you proud sending you to Peace the Right way..” wrote DJ Magic via Instagram following the service.
Cee’s family previously released a statement writing, “On behalf of the Lebrun, Wilson, Calixte families we want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for our brother, uncle, nephew Calvin ‘DJ Mister Cee’ Lebrun in the wake of his untimely passing. It’s a huge loss for our entire family, the borough of Brooklyn, and the entire Hip-Hop Community.”
