Big Sean Drops Short Film “Clarity,” Featuring Timbaland, Tyler, The Creator, Hit-Boy & More

After returning to Rolling Loud: Los Angeles, Big Sean releases an introspective short film that gives fans insight into his upcoming album. “Clarity” is a documentary in which the Detroit native captures the recording process of his sixth solo album, including recording verses, collaborating with legends, and previewing songs for special guests such as Lil Yachty, Tyler, The Creator, and Timbaland.

The five-minute clip provides details of Sean’s life since his last album. Narrating the entire clip, he begins with, “Really re-establishing your clarity, it’s something I had to go over myself but I realize we’re all dealing with time moving so fast.”

Sean and his girlfriend, Jhene Aiko, welcomed their first child together in 2022. In the short film, Dad talks about his cherished memories while his son Noah is featured.

The video ended with Sean sharing vague information about what fans can expect from his new music. During his Rolling Loud set on Friday, Sean gave fans a taste of a new song.“Alright, I’ll see ya’ll soon,” concludes Sean in “Clarity.”

The forthcoming album follows 2020’s Detroit 2 (Def Jam). It features Lil Wayne, Eminem, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Post Malone, Wale, and the late Nipsey Hussle and includes hit songs “Lithuania,” “Deep Reverence,” and “Wolves.”
