After being sentenced to four years on August 9, Blueface called L.A.’s Effective Immediately radio show on Monday, Aug. 19, to discuss his situation and addressed Soulja Boy.
The 27-year-old rap star made a surprise call to the radio show’s hosts, DJ Hed and Gina Views, while on the air after they brought him up during their news segment. “Blue, you live right now,” said Gina Views as she accepted his jail call with an automated message included.
In his first interview since he surrendered to the Los Angeles County Jail on January 12, Blueface would begin the conversation by providing an update on his incarceration. He explains the sentence to the hosts: “So I got sentenced to four years. I got a year’s credit. So that goes down to three years, and I gotta do 33% of that … probably like April, March, April, I want to say that. You already know it’s going down.”
After the update, DJ Hed asked about the recording artist’s mental health, and Blueface shared that he was in his environment. “I’m in my environment, you know I’m always soak up and adapt to it,” said the “Thotiana” hitmaker. “It ain’t really nothing. It’s like a little break from responsibility, honestly.”
In response, DJ Hed inquired about the recording artist’s daily routine in jail. Blueface responded, “Man … jacking off, watching TV, eating Doritos, and using the phone, that’s pretty much it.”
Then, Blue switches up the conversation and inquires about who has been dissing him, which leads to addressing Soulja Boy. “Soulja Boy promised me a fade. I’m still on that,” says Blue when Gina Views reveals Soulja tweeted about him.
The two have been feuding for months. Soulja Boy taunted Blueface on social media after he was sentenced. In February, Soulja’s girlfriend, Jacklyn Martinez, filed a 10 million defamation lawsuit against Blueface.

Blueface is the father of three children, one of whom was born to reality star Chrisean Rock. Rock is also incarcerated in Oklahoma, awaiting trial. She is facing eight years after being extradited to Northeast Oklahoma Community Corrections Center from Los Angeles Superior Courts on June 10.
Rock’s charges include failure to have a tax stamp affixed on controlled dangerous substances (CDS) and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. She shared an update via jail call video on August 14.
