Bobbi Althoff Addresses Claims Of Copying Funny Marco’s Interview Style

Bobbi Althoff strongly refutes any claims suggesting she copied Funny Marco’s interview style. In a recent joint interview with Marco, Althoff addressed these accusations, stating, “I say to that, that you took my stuff,” in a joking manner on Marco’s Open Thoughts show. However, she clarified that she had never seen Marco’s work before she began creating her own videos.

According to Althoff, she was introduced to Marco’s work by a friend who noticed similarities between them. Interestingly, Althoff’s first exposure to Marco’s interviews was through this introduction. Marco echoed similar sentiments, indicating mutual respect between the two creators.

During the interview, Althoff expressed appreciation for the opportunity to interview Marco previously, which she believed elevated her work. She even presented Marco with a gift, showing her gratitude for their collaboration.

When discussing their interview styles, it’s essential to acknowledge influences such as Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns, which has been around since 2008. This style of performance art interviews has been adopted by many internet personalities over the years, including both Althoff and Marco.

While similarities may exist between their interview styles, Althoff and Marco maintain that they each bring their unique flair to their content. Their exchange demonstrates a respectful acknowledgment of their respective influences and creative processes.

Althoff also explained why they didn’t go on tour together. Prior to their planned joint tour, Althoff revealed that she sent Funny Marco a lengthy message informing him of her feelings of depression. However, she alleged that he showed no concern and instead unfollowed her on social media, which she found hurtful. Although she described the situation as upsetting, Marco later refollowed her on social media.

Despite the rocky situation, Althoff mentioned that she has since improved mentally and would be willing to participate in another tour if they decided to plan one together.
