A video of new rap sensation Bossman Dlow allegedly being arrested by federal authorities went viral on Monday (August 5).
In the clip, the “Get In With Me” hitmaker is shown handcuffed and escorted into custody by authorities. The observer is in disbelief as they call out the Florida rapper’s name. Dlow acknowledges their call with a head nod.
The clip’s details are unknown. Law enforcement or Dlow’s team have not released any arrest reports or information on the video or the recording artist’s whereabouts. His Instagram account was last updated on Tuesday morning. It is believed that the video originated from the rapper’s brief detention earlier this year.
The rap star has had a breakout year in 2024, including making this year’s XXL Freshmen Class and debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Get In With Me.” Hailing from Port Salerno, Florida, his debut single generated over 8.4 million U.S. streams after its release in January 2024. By February, the song generated 367,000 radio airplay impressions, according to Luminate.
“The debut feels amazing,” he told Billboard in February. “I’m still wondering how the hell a guy from Port Salerno made it this far and has a song on the Hot 100. I’m excited to see how far the song can go, and grateful for those listening.”
Throughout the year, Bossman Dlow has collaborated on hit songs with Lil Baby, GloRilla, Skilla Baby, and Rob49. In March, Bossman released his latest mixtape, Mr. Beat The Road, featuring Sexyy Red. His latest single with Lil Baby, “PJ,” accompanied with a music video has gained a lot of attention since its release last month.
Before the apparent arrest, Bossman Dlow had a new single, and a collaboration with Ciara was coming soon. More information on the situation as it becomes available.
