Brad Pitt’s admiration for Frank Ocean is no secret, and the actor recently revealed his favorite song by the reclusive R&B star. A video that went viral on September 2nd captured a brief interaction between Pitt and a fan at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, where he was attending the premiere of his new movie, Wolfs. As Pitt made his way up a staircase, the fan asked him which Frank Ocean song he favored. After taking a moment to think, Pitt responded, “What’s the one with the ‘S’ with the guy’s name?” The fan suggested “‘Siegfried?’”—a track from Ocean’s acclaimed Blonde album—prompting Pitt to confirm that it’s indeed his top pick.

Pitt has been open about how much Ocean’s music has meant to him, especially during difficult times. In a 2017 interview with GQ, Pitt credited Ocean’s music with helping him process his divorce from Angelina Jolie, saying, “I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth. He’s painfully honest. He’s very, very special. I can’t find a bad [song].”

The connection between Pitt and Ocean was further solidified later that same year. Pitt made a surprise appearance at Ocean’s FYF Festival performance in Los Angeles. The actor was shown on the big screens during a medley of “Close to You” and Stevie Wonder’s “Never Can Say Goodbye.” His appearance added a memorable touch to the show.

Interestingly, Pitt’s friendships with musicians extend beyond Frank Ocean. Travis Scott, the chart-topping rapper, revealed that Pitt sends him Christmas gifts. Earlier this year, Scott shared a photo of a gift basket he received from Pitt. It included a signed note, wine from Pitt’s estate in France, and other luxury items. The connection between the two stars likely stems from Scott recording much of his “UTOPIA” album at Pitt’s refurbished Miraval Studios. The studio is located in the south of France. The studio, part of Pitt’s expansive estate, features state-of-the-art facilities. This includes editing booths, a recording studio, and a 115-foot saltwater pool.
