Bun B shares an emotional testimony as he recalls the 2019 home invasion that still affects his wife.

The rapper took the stand on Thursday, June 6, and testified that in April 2019, his wife Queenie opened the front door when she heard the doorbell ring. While expecting an Amazon package, she was instead met with a masked robber named Demonte Jackson, who held her at gun point. “This was an entirely new traumatizing incident,” Bun B said. “This is something we still deal with to this day.”

During the incident, Bun B recalled hearing his wife tell Jackson to “just take the car.” Bun then grabbed his gun as his wife told him to stay upstairs as she says “He’s going to kill me.”

“I wanted to confront the person who put that fear in my wife’s voice,” Bun B said. “She was very panicked- She was borderline hysterical. She just did not want me to go out that door and face the person with the gun.”

Jackson arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count of burglary. He was also treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds.

Following the home invasion, Bun says of his wife, “There are times when she gets closed off,” he said. “She can’t communicate, and I just get so angry all over again because she didn’t deserve this. She didn’t ask for this.”

Jackson pled guilty to aggravated assault.
