Byron Allen’s HBCU GO, a free-streaming digital platform, will air 20 college basketball games this upcoming season. The platform will showcase men’s and women’s games including double-headers from the CIAA, SIAC, and SWAC.
The deal states that games will air on Saturdays at 1 pm ET on HBCU GO and in several markets. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC in syndication. Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Memphis, Detroit, Sacramento, Miami, Tampa, and Pittsburgh will air the games.
Games will also air on Sundays at 12 noon ET on HBCU GO streaming and theGrio Television Network.
In a statement, Alle expressed his excitement about showcasing HBCU basketball on his network.

Over the past few years, the Allen Media Group has been spotlightinHBCU athletics on its platform. In January, AMG announced a 10-year media rights partnership with the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The deal “grants HBCU GO cable, linear, streaming, broadcast, VOD, and pay-per-view rights coverage of all SIAC team sports through 2032 worldwide.”
Allen said, “This is a historic moment. The HBCU GO team is excited to partner with SIAC to distribute their conference games to a broader audience.
“Through this innovative streaming platform, we invite fans from around the world to join us in celebrating the indomitable spirit of SIAC sports and culture,” SIAC Commissioner, Anthony Holloman added.
