Cardi B responded to Joe Budden’s apology following their conversation on X Spaces, where she called him a “Hater” last Thursday (July 18).

The two’s beef reignited after Budden claimed that Cardi would not release another album. On Spaces, Cardi blasted Budden: “I gave you a lap dance 2 times in Starlets, you was high as f*ck on coke… I ain’t f*cking Drake n*gga I ain’t gonna write no nice paragraph, imma come at you, imma shine that head of yours…”

Joe would deny the lap dances, apologize, and pledge never to mention Cardi again. On his podcast, he said, “Cardi is on my list of people I’m going to love no matter what. If I’ve ever made a joke that’s offended Cardi B, I’m sorry.”

On Saturday (July 20), Cardi tweeted Joe about his apology. She wrote, “I got love for you to Joe but you been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years whether music or personal..like when I was goin through real shit wit my marriage in December you went on ya platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on.. I know criticism comes wit the territory but sometimes the narrative yall decide go run with be soooooo toxic. It’s all love tho see you soon.”

Cardi B’s upcoming album, untitled, has been a trending topic. Despite her commitment to release a new album in 2024 regardless of what fans think, mixed reports have been made on its progress. This year, she released two new singles, “Like What” and “Enough.”

On Thursday, Cardi B reassured her new album will be released this year after Budden’s comments. She tweeted, “I wanna say this to Bardi gang or anybody who’s just a fan of my music or even my craziness… I have my good days and my bad days but you know what, whether it’s good or bad I couldn’t be happier with the obvious anticipation for my album..Sometimes I get a little aggressive because yall know I don’t like to be told what to do but I promise you it’s coming THIS YEAR. Thank you for the love and anticipation and always holding me down [heart emoji] I love yall.”

Outside of the singles, Cardi has released a diss track about BIA and has been featured on new music by GloRilla, Shakira, Megan Thee Stallion, and the latest Rob49.
