Cardi B has withdrawn from this weekend’s ONE Musicfest in Atlanta’s Central Park due to a recent health scare. The award-winning recording artist, who was one of the festival’s headliners, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday to share the news with her fans, revealing that she’s been recovering from a medical emergency and won’t be able to perform.
“It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there,” Cardi wrote in her post, expressing her disappointment over missing the event. The 32-year-old superstar has not provided further details about the nature of her health issues, but her absence is undoubtedly a significant blow to the festival lineup.
ONE Musicfest, known for bringing together an eclectic mix of artists, will still feature a stellar roster of performers, including Gunna, Jill Scott, Victoria Monét, Earth, Wind & Fire, GloRilla, Nelly, and Method Man, among others. Cardi’s performance was highly anticipated, but the festival promises to deliver a memorable experience with a diverse range of acts spanning genres from hip-hop to R&B to soul.
Tickets for the festival, starting at $129 for single-day admission, remain available for purchase, although Cardi B’s absence may leave some fans disappointed. The Bronx-born rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, has not yet announced any plans to reschedule her performance.
