Cardi B is coming to WWE in 2025.

Over the weekend, the Grammy-winning superstar was announced to appear at the company’s first-ever two-night event, Summer Slam, on August 2-3, 2025 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Known as the “Biggest Party of the Summer,” the WWE released a promo featuring the Invasion of Privacy creator and their star talent Bianca Belair on September 26.

Cadri’s hit song “Up” was the official theme song for Summer Slam 2021. Her appearance at the upcoming event marks her WWE debut. Her involvement in the scheduled appearance remains unknown at the moment. The history between the company and the artist has been entertaining.

In 2021, Cardi B and former WWE superstar Lacey Evans exchanged words on X, formerly Twitter, over the Bronx native’s comments about Vince McMahon. After being reference on WWE programming, Cardi tweeted, “WWWWTTTTFFFFFFFFF …. [five cry laughing face emojis]. This is not how my wwe debut was supposed to be ! Vince McMahon COUNT YOUR FUCKIN DAYS !!!!”

Evans responded by referencing Cardi’s rival, Nicki Minaj, in a tweet. She tweeted: “Careful what you wish for ya nasty….. we aren’t @NICKIMINAJ . You’ll get sent home with more than a busted eye [nails emoji][heels emoji].”

Blurring the line between entertainment and reality, Cardi B replied to Lacey Evans with,  “A white woman can’t never put fear on me, sweetie.”

Evans cleared up the confusion with a tweet that offered Cardi an invitation to WWE Monday Night Raw. She tweeted: “Aww bless your heart! @iamcardib U got it all wrong. I heard DEBUT and was giving you a friendly heads up! but since you wanna be a bad ass… keep me in mind when/if you show up to @WWE. Ill kick your ass while listening to your music.”

With previous appearances by Sexyy Red, Metro Boommin, Wale, and Lil Wayne, the WWE has welcomed hip-hop to its programming. Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg has been a regular correspondent for WWE events since 2018.

Cardi B is set to release her long-awaited sophomore album in 2024.
