Cardi B has repeatedly promised her new album will be released in 2024. In response to her fans, the “Bardi Gang,” who demanded an update on her long-awaited second album, Cardi responded with a playful response.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on October 29, a fan page speaking on behalf of the fandom set a deadline for the Bronx rapper to announce the project or share any related news.
“We, Bardi Gang, are giving you until November 22 to announce the album or provide an update,” the fan post read. “For over six years, we’ve faced constant delays, and we’ve been patient despite it all. We are your fans, and we have feelings.”

Cardi, taking it in stride, replied with humor: “Lmaoooooo y’all crazy.”

When a follower pressed her, asking, “Girl, what’s funny?” she playfully responded with lyrics from her 2024 track, “Like What,” quoting, “Bitches be laughing, like hoe what’s funny?”
Fans have eagerly awaited Cardi B’s follow-up to her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, which dropped in April 2018. Over six years later, she’s assured listeners that her sophomore album will arrive in 2024.
Despite personal challenges, including giving birth to her third child and filing for divorce, Cardi has shared regular studio updates, even posting “Now is crunch time [album emoji] on my kids” shortly after revealing photos of her newborn.
Though she hasn’t officially revealed the album’s title, hints emerged in July when her company, Washpoppin, Inc., filed trademarks for two phrases: “Defamation of Character” and “Intrusive Thoughts.” Both were earmarked for potential use on “pre-recorded record albums featuring music,” suggesting they may be tied to her upcoming release.
