Award-winning singer Celine Dion will return to the stage in a new Las Vegas residency.

TMZ broke the news on Thursday (July 24) that the “My Heart Will Go On” hitmaker is in the final stages of signing a residency deal with Resorts World. “It’s basically a done deal. She’s doing it.” said an insider.

Dion had initially planned to launch a residency at Resorts World in November 2021, but had to cancel due to her health issues. Katy Perry filled her spot, and Carrie Underwood is currently performing there, with her run set to end this November.

This comeback is driven entirely by Dion’s passion for performing, as highlighted in her documentary “I Am: Celine Dion.” Despite her battle with Stiff-Person Syndrome, a neurological disorder that causes painful muscle stiffness and spasms, Dion is determined to return to the stage. A source close to the singer remarked, “She’s prepared to power through it. It won’t stop her from performing.”

Celine Dion’s return to Las Vegas marks a significant moment in her career, demonstrating her resilience and enduring appeal. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable experience when she takes the stage once again.

The upcoming residency is expected to be shorter than her previous long-term engagements at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Dion is eager for her comeback, having recently embarked on a major press tour for her documentary.

She is also scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, where she will sing “La Vie en Rose” with Lady Gaga, earning $2 million for the performance.
