Chance The Rapper and his wife Kirsten Corley have split after 5 years of marriage.
The couple, who shares two daughters together, has made the announcement via Instagram. “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together. We kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate this transition. Thank you -Chance & Kirsten.”
The news comes following a previous viral video of Chance The Rapper dancing seductively on another woman.
At the time, Corley seemingly responded to the video by quoting Maya Angelou. “Wherever I go, grace will beat me to it, meet me in it, turn it around, and make it a miracle,” the IG Story read. Before that came a screenshot post of the Angelou quote, and she wrote “I hope one day, we all choose to grow up” as the caption. “Oh my God, I’ve lived a very simple life!” the paragraph begins. “You can say, Oh yes, at thirteen this happened to me and at fourteen… But those are facts. But the facts can obscure the truth, what it really felt like. Every human being has paid the earth to grow up.”
There’s no word on what cause the separation as of yet.
