Chlöe Bailey will release her anticipated sophomore album, Trouble In Paradise, this Friday (August 9).

The “Have Mercy” hitmaker announced the news on Monday (August 5) with the album’s cover art on Instagram. The image features Bailey lying in water, wearing a strapless glow-in-the-dark dress. Before the second album’s release, Bailey released two new singles in 2024, “FYS” and “Boy Bye.” Last week, she and Tinashe released the X-rated version of the viral hit, “Nasty.”

Trouble In Paradise will follow Bailey’s debut album, In Pieces (2023), which featured Chris Brown, Future, and Missy Elliott. The debut included hit songs “How Does It Feel,” “Body Do,” and “Feel Me Cry.” It reached #119 on the Billboard 200.

“I was really vulnerable,” Chlöe Bailey told People about making In Pieces. “This project’s about all types of heartbreak—not just romantic, but heartbreak with family and friends you trusted and thought would always be there for you.”

According to the reactions in the entertainer’s comments, fans are surprisingly excited about Bailey’s upcoming album. One fan wrote, “Didn’t know you [were] gon’ knock us over the head like this, queen. We [are] ’bout to feast.”

“Like, this Friday? Somebody wake me; I’m dreaming,” commented another social media user.

The tracklist has not been revealed yet. However, the pre-sale link to the album is available on the singer’s Instagram account.

Earlier this week, Jon B spoke out against Chlöe and Gunna’s use of his classic song, “They Don’t Know,” in their collaboration “You & Me.” On the “Can We Talk R&B Podcast,” Jon revealed he didn’t clear the sample and called the song “ratchet.”

Jon B. would also describe Justin Timberlake’s new song, “No Angels,” as demonic.

Chlöe, Gunna, and Justin Timberlake have not responded to Jon B’s comments.
