Sexyy Redd seems to have friends across all genres, including country. On Saturday (May 4), while performing in St.Louis, country singer, Zach Bryan, surprised fans with an appearance from Sexxy Redd. The crowd roared as the “Get It Sexyy” rapper took the stage and twirled her body around.

In other news, Sexyy’s long-time collaborator, Tay Keith, has opened up about his relationship with the rap starlet in a new interview and revealed he faced backlash after they began working together. The duo’s collaborations have resulted in hit singles like “Pound Town” and “Skee-Yee.” However, despite their ever-growing success, the famed producer claims people were “trolling” him for working with her.

“People were trolling the sh*t out of me. They were real-deal trolling me. It wasn’t much good feedback. It was coming from even people around me, ‘What you doing?’ I saw the potential. That’s as simple as it was, me believing in her,” Tay Keith told Billboard. He added, “I think people doubted me working with her because they didn’t see the reason to do it. I definitely seen the potential. I tell people all the time how long I was watching Sexyy Red’s music before she blew up.”

The pair again collaborated for her latest single, “Get It Sexyy,” and in the producer’s opinion, he and Sexyy are curating the best club music out right now. “When I finished the beat, I’m telling Sexyy, ‘This the one. This the hit.’ I’m telling her team. I’m just knowing when I made it right there I’m like, ‘This is the hit,’” he recalled. Keith added, “I feel like we make the best club music right now.”

While many may not agree with the duo working together, their success is undeniable. Following the release of “Get It Sexyy,” the track became the rapper’s highest-charting single to date, peaking at No. 20 on the US Billboard 200.
