DaBaby and Lil Baby’s success has always run simultaneously since their mainstream debuts in 2018. Due to the name association, fans have been in demand for a potential joint album since they originally collaborated in 2019 on the Quality Control track “Baby.” While the joint album never happened, DaBaby remains open to the opportunity, as revealed during an interview with Bootleg Kev.
When asked about the possibility of a joint album, DaBaby revealed: “We did talk about doing a collab project for a certain amount of time. At the time, we were both so busy so we never got in the same place. We had talked about me coming to Atlanta for a couple of days and him coming up my way for a couple of days to knock that shit out.
“But the stars never aligned for us to be able to get into it and do the shit. But that’s something I’m definitely open to.”
While a joint album with Lil Baby is the most requested, DaBaby shared that he is open to working on joint albums with anyone hot right now. He added:
“I love the opportunity to create with anyone who doing they muthafucking thing and the best of the best. I feel like it’s an automatic win when it comes to me.”
