Comedic icon Dave Chappelle unexpectedly appeared at 50 Cent’s inaugural Humor & Harmony Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Thursday (August 8).

The comedian surprised fans by taking the stage for a memorable performance. Humor & Harmony Festival is a four-day event created to raise funds for underserved youth communities.

According to US Weekly,  Chappelle stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted in cheers, clearly thrilled by the legendary stand-up comedian’s presence. Addressing the audience, Chappelle expressed his excitement about being part of the event.

“I flew all the way to Shreveport because anytime history is made, I don’t want to miss it. And this is history,” he said. “Curtis Jackson has been both the American nightmare and the American dream in the same life and brought it all here to Shreveport.”

50 Cent shared a photo with Chappelle on Instagram with the caption, “Shreveport will never be the same.”

The festival, a collaboration between 50 Cent’s company Sire Spirits and his charity organization, The G-Unity Foundation, will run through Sunday, August 11. The event kicked off on Thursday with a lineup of performances that includes comedians Andrew Schulz, Bill Bellamy, and Katt Williams, as well as musicians like DaBaby, 2 Chainz, Cam’ron, Flo Rida, and Monica.

50 Cent’s festival is part of a long-term commitment he has made to the city after launching the G-Unit film studio this summer. The mogul plans to supply economic growth through employment and other resources like the festival.

Earlier this year, 50 Cent expressed his desire to bring a Big 3 basketball team to Shreveport. Ice Cube, the Big 3 founder, has not responded to 50 Cent’s request at this time.
