Diddy claims that witness tampering allegations against him are not based on evidence in his latest bail hearing.

According to The New York Times, Diddy’s legal team filed an appeal on Tuesday (October 8) stating that witness tampering accusations are “unfounded.”

Alexandra A.E. Shapiro and Jason A. Driscoll, Diddy’s attorneys, argued that prosecutors failed to prove that their client intimidated witnesses.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       “The [government’s] proffer provided no basis to believe Mr. Combs had threatened, intimidated, or otherwise attempted to tamper with witnesses and fell far short of demonstrating a ‘serious risk’ of obstruction or witness tampering in the future,” reads the motion.

“There is zero risk of Mr. Combs using such code under monitoring,” the motion continued. “How would any visitor even know how to interpret the supposed ‘code’?”

On Thursday, October 3rd, Judge Arun Subramanian was announced as the replacement for Judge Andrew Carter. In September, Judge Carter denied several of Diddy’s bail requests after his arrest in September.

Carter’s ruling said that Diddy’s proposed $50 Million bail package “wasn’t enough to ease concerns about flight risk and obstruction.”

In their arguments, prosecutors alleged that Diddy reached out to victims and witnesses to convince them to testify that the “freak offs” were consensual.

With the new judge, even 50 Cent, who is usually at odds with Diddy said he would make bail.

Currently, the mogul is being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and prostitution charges.

If found guilty of all the charges, Diddy could face up to life in prison.
