Diddy heads back to court to file an emergency motion to fight a default judgment made against him totaling nearly $100,000,000. TMZ reports on Thursday (Sept.12), the mogul filed the motion to set aside the judgment. Not too long ago, a man named Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith accused him of sexual assault. Cardello-Smith claims during an encounter between him, Diddy, and several women, he felt the Bad Boy CEO grope him.
Later, he alleges the entertainer drugged him and took advantage of him. Cardello-Smith was awarded $100,000,000 following the entertainer’s lack of response to the motion. However, the controversial hitmaker says he never received any paperwork. He claims he was unaware of the judgment until seeing it on television, the outlet reports. Diddy’s lawyers claim Cardello-Smith’s testimony was filled with “facially implausible allegations” that were “completely fabricated.”
Diddy Slapped With Lawsuit From Dawn Richard
In other news, Diddy is facing a lawsuit from former Diddy-Dirty Money singer, Dawn Richard. This marks the mogul’s eighth lawsuit for sexual assault. In a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Richard claims he was physically and sexually abusive to her throughout her time working for him. Richard says she began to notice Diddy’s behavior when she auditioned for his 2004 reality series Making The Band.
Richard recalls him reffering to the women as “fat,” “ugly,” “b**ches” and “h*es” during auditions. The singer also says he forced her to rehearse for 48 hours, sometimes without sleep. She says on one occasion Diddy “demanded she come to his Miami home.” The singer says she also witnessed Diddy attempting to strangle his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. She claimed when she tried to intervene Diddy began shouting, “Y’all b*****s don’t get in my relationship,” he allegedly said. “Don’t tell my b***h what she need to be doing… Just make money and shut the f**k up… I end artists… I shelve career … You could be missing… You b*****s want to die today.”
