Sean “Diddy” Combs is eager to secure his release from federal custody, proposing a $50 million bail package to the court. His legal team submitted the offer, detailing the significant assets he’s prepared to put up. According to the court documents, Diddy is ready to use his $48 million mansion on Miami’s Star Island as collateral. To cover the remaining $2 million, he has offered his mother’s Miami home.

In addition, Diddy is willing to limit his travel to Florida, New York, and New Jersey. He would likely stay in Miami and travel to New York for his trial. He has agreed to wear a GPS monitor for tracking his movements.

Diddy has been preparing for this situation, having paid off the $18 million he still owed on his Miami home to use it as collateral. He also informed authorities in May that he intended to sell his private jet. Although he hasn’t sold it yet, he has promised to park it in Los Angeles while he remains in Florida.

Federal authorities have argued against granting Diddy bail. They cite concerns that he poses a danger to society. They also believe he is a flight risk. Diddy’s legal team counters that he surrendered his passport, as well as those of his mother and children, in April.

Diddy was arrested in New York on Monday (September 16). Reports indicate that Homeland Security agents carried out the arrest at his midtown hotel. The arrest was reportedly moved up from its original Tuesday, September 17th, schedule for unspecified reasons. The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York confirmed that Diddy was arrested based on a sealed indictment, which includes charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The indictment details alleged “Freak Offs” facilitated through “threats of force” and “coercion.”

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, criticized the prosecution as “unjust,” emphasizing Diddy’s contributions as a music icon, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
