A resurfaced video of Diddy telling party guests to stay “lotioned up” has garnered attention in light of his recent arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. On October 3rd, TMZ released footage from a 2022 party at Diddy’s Los Angeles home, held the night after he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards. In the video, Diddy, taking on the role of emcee, is heard telling attendees: “Ayo, everybody, make sure your breath is fresh […] make sure you lotioned up. If you smoking weed, get the Listerine strips, B. Be respectful. Ladies, if they don’t wanna dance, don’t let them hold you back.” He also instructed the DJ to play Donell Jones’ “U Know What’s Up” to get the crowd moving.

The resurfacing of this video has drawn scrutiny, especially given Diddy’s current legal issues. Prosecutors allege that he hosted “freak offs,” where women were coerced into sexual acts with male prostitutes while Diddy watched and recorded the events. Raids on his homes earlier this year reportedly uncovered footage of these encounters, along with over 1,000 bottles of baby oil.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, challenged the claim about the baby oil, explaining that his client buys in bulk, jokingly comparing it to shopping at Costco. However, Costco later clarified that they don’t stock baby oil.

50 Cent, who has frequently mocked Diddy, seized the opportunity to troll him. He posted a photo with Drew Barrymore, writing, “I don’t have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house,” and shared a mock-up of a baby oil bottle labeled “Diddy Oil.” Diddy, meanwhile, has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
