Doja Cat seemingly sheds light on her love life, unveiling a snippet of her new song titled “Masc” on social media.
On Friday (March 29), the “Attention” artist made an announcement on Instagram regarding the imminent release of her new track. The song features Doja Cat effortlessly navigating a futuristic beat while engaging with a love interest.
“Boy we too grown for this shit,” she sings.
In the caption, she included the date “4.5.24,” giving fans a heads-up on when they can anticipate the release of the full version of the song.
Yet, it wasn’t her musical evolution that caught fans’ attention. Instead, it was the cover art for the song — seemingly a photo of Doja’s blonde coif — that sparked widespread interest.
“Why do I feel that’s a close up pic of the top of her head… like I just can’t with her artistic expression 😍. I LOVE HER!!!,” wrote one user in the comment section.
We previously reported that Doja Cat is set to take center stage at Summer Jam 2024.
Beginning her musical journey as a teenager, dropping hits on SoundCloud, the 28-year-old was discovered by Dr. Luke, at 17.
While she’s delivered hit after hit, many were initially introduced to Doja through her single (which some may consider a troll song), “Mooo!” But beyond the playful facade, she’s a serious artist. Her debut EP, Purrr!, along with her first studio album, Amala, made significant waves on the Billboard 200 in 2018.
Her career skyrocketed with the release of her Hot Pink album, featuring the chart-topping hit “Say So” with Nicki Minaj, solidifying her status as a musical powerhouse. With Planet Her, she gifted fans with smash hits like “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA, further cementing her place in the music industry spotlight.
Meanwhile, her latest effort, Scarlet — boasting visual masterpieces such as “Paint the Town Red“ prove she’s ready to turn up the Summer Jam stage for her first time ever.
