Dr.Dre and Snoop Dogg recently stopped by Capital Xtra to talk about their decades-long partnership. However, there was one detail that stood out. The hitmaker recalled a hilarious encounter they had on a blind double date. According to Dre, beaming with excitement, the duo went to pick up their dates. Only, upon their arrival, did Dre realize the woman he was interested in had eyes for Snoop.”I thought it was mine and it wasn’t.” Dr Dre jokingly recalled. “Snoop pushed me out the way like, ‘Nah, Cuz, that’s me.’”
He continued: “When I turned that corner and saw mine, I was really disappointed. The Chronic rapper/producer also revealed they had journeyed through a rainstorm, similar to Hurricane Katrina, and were “extremely disappointed” when they arrived. However, a silver lining was on the horizon. Nearly one day later, Dr. Dre claimed he recorded the duo’s iconic 1992 hit, “Nothin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.”
Dr. Dre’s Health And Marriage Woes
These days, Dr.Dre is opening up about his life and journey, more than ever. Back in March, he detailed his ongoing health issues. He told James Corden on his This Life of Mine radio show, he suffered three strokes in 2021. The producer says this was preceded by a brain aneurysm. Dre described the aneurysm itself as the “worst pain I ever felt.” He added: “I got up and went about my day, and I thought I could lay down and take a nap, [but] my son and a female friend were like, ‘no, we need to take you to the hospital.’”
He continues: “Next thing you know, I’m blacking out, I’m in and out of consciousness, and I end up in the ICU. I was there for two weeks.” In March 2021, Dr.Dre’s marriage took a turn for the worse when he and his wife were embattled with a nasty divorce. In March 2021, Young claimed that he was sending her death threats and filed a restraining order on him.
