A photo from the comment section of a popular Kick streamer, Trainwrecks, has circulated online. The pic shows a post from what appears to be Drake’s verified account, where he claims that Spotify boosted streams for “that one guy.” It took no time for fans to assume that the rapper was taking shots at Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

“Hey pragmatic can we take back to 2022…can you backdoor Eddie like Spotify backdoored the streams for that one song from that one guy,” he wrote. Fans are accusing the Toronto rap star of being a sore loser regarding the back-and-forth with Kendrick Lamar. Drake still thinking about Kendrick in July,” one fan wrote. Another person claimed that “his ego was hurt to the core.” One user pointed out that Drake might be a little old to be on a platform made for teens. “40 years old watching streams in his spare time,” they wrote.

Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar

Although it’s unclear what initially caused the tension between the two, as time passes, their ongoing beef continues to fester. It appears the issue between Lamar and Drake kicked off following the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which featured a fiery rap from Lamar, where he took multiple shots at Drake. The “Headlines” rapper quickly fired back with “Push Ups,” where he called out Lamar, Rick Ross and The Weeknd. He would eventually follow that up with “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

However, the track was taken down due to threats from Tupac Shakur’s estate, after the rapper used AI-generated voices of Pac and Snoop Dogg. Not too long after, Kendrick fired back with two more diss tracks, “6:16 in LA” and then “Not Like Us. The track has been breaking records across multiple streaming platforms since its release. The rapper recently partnered with Amazon Prime for a “pop-out” event in LA at the Kia Forum.
